Who is Theme Queen?
Theme Queen is run by Gabrielle, who had her very own Art Deco themed wedding in 2013. It was a glorious day and many guests commented on the fabulously authentic detailing, but the preparation entailed spending weeks tracking down individual vintage glass bottles, cigarette cases and peacock feathers – which did get a bit stressful after a while! That’s why she was inspired to set up this site and make wedding preparation just a little bit easier for everyone
Why use Theme Queen?
So you’ve worked out the theme you want for your wedding – there are plenty of pictures online of other fabulous weddings you like the look of, but they hardly ever tell you where to buy all the little details which make it so special. Or if they do, each thing has to come from a different place, and it takes forever to track it all down and put it all together - favours from one place, coasters from another, table accents and place card holders from somewhere else – you’ve got enough to think about sorting out your outfits and the venue!
That’s where Theme Queen comes in. Pick your theme and we’ll provide you with the perfect coordinated centrepiece items, coasters, place card holders, menu holders, table number frames, and boxed favours (for girls and boys). All you need to add on the day are flowers, glasses and stationery (cards, menus, table numbers, seating plan)
We also have a few added extras for each theme such as card boxes and wall decor, so you can have a themed post table as well.
Don’t feel that you are buying an ‘off-the-shelf’ wedding that lots of other people could also have – many of our items are handmade and limited in supply so the specific items featured within each theme change frequently
Remember - the minimum order is just 1 Standard Table, so why not have a dinner party to test the theme out?
How much is delivery and where do you deliver to?
P&P is free in the UK (excluding certain areas of Scottish Highlands & Islands, and Channel Islands – check with us if you are in these regions)
Your order will be fully trackable and will need to be signed for on delivery
We do not deliver on a specific day or time – your order can take anything from 3-5 days to arrive after it is despatched. For absolute peace of mind it is probably advisable to have it delivered to a home address, but if your wedding venue is happy to keep all the items there for you until the big day that’s fine, as long as there is someone there during working hours to sign for the items. Items are insured against damage in transit but we do not take responsibility for loss after delivery eg if the venue agrees to store them but loses them!
We don’t currently ship outside the UK but may do in the future
How far in advance of my wedding day do I need to place an order?
You must order at least 6-8 weeks in advance as many of our items are sourced from the US and/or are handmade so take a little time to be crafted and sent to us.
How do I place an order?
Once you've browsed the gallery, go to the shop page for your chosen theme. Use the close-up pics and drop-down descriptions to check the full details of each element. When you're ready to order, at the bottom of the page, drop-downs are provided for you to tell us…
…the system will then calculate the total cost.
If you are not 100% certain of the exact number of guests, it’s best to overestimate slightly – if you still have a few people left to RSVP, assume that they will turn up – it’s best to have a few spare coasters and favours rather than not enough.
Each page also shows the average cost of a full kit for a standard size table of 8 people (including favours but not card box or wall art) so you can get an idea of what the cost for your size of wedding would be. For instance for a Rockabilly wedding of 80 people on 10 tables you would be looking at approximately £1600
